Conscious Gardening: experience spirituality in your garden
🌱Spiritual Gardening: a new garden & a new beginning🌱
We are two earthy souls passionate about gardening as a spiritual connection with all consciousnesses. We moved from WA to South Florida in April, 2022. (Zone 10a) On this channel, I share gardening moments that inspire me and revelations about life and spirituality. It’s also a way for me to document the process of being a backyard gardener to being a homesteader one day.
A space for awareness to manifest
Gardening to me is more than survival or an aesthetic presentation as part of a home. Gardening is a spiritual practice, just like meditation or channeling. I feel a deep connection with all consciousnesses in the garden, with the trees, the flowers, the bees, butterflies, the wind, and the soil. The communication may not contain any words, but it’s a much deeper and profound force that makes me feel what it’s like to experience unity, that all is one.
Gratitude
There’s something sacred about growing plants from seeds. It brings a sense of excitement and hope. It makes you want to trust in life and find out how you can co-create lives with nature and with the unknown. From planting the seeds to nurturing them, transplanting them, watching them grow until eventually harvested, and even saving seeds from them, it’s a birth-death-birth cycle. It’s the cycle of life. This cycle represents wholeness and unity.
Moving from Washington state to South Florida zone 10a, there’s so much to learn. Starting a new garden is always so exciting. Gardening has taught me to appreciate every little step on any journey. To enjoy the process. There are still times when I feel the urge to fast forward to the result, but the quiet moments in the garden always bring me back to the now.
Trust whatever you have now is all you need
This backyard garden doesn’t seem much but it is everything I need at this moment. Our dream is to be able to share our homestead with animals and people, a space that allows love to grow. Until that particular moment manifests itself, I’m just enjoying every little step that takes place on this journey.
Use what you have; trust what you have is all you need. To quote one of my favorite quotes from Bashar is, “Abundance is being able to do what you need to do at any given moment.” That quote began as a piece of information that seemed to ring true. Then, it became an authentic experience and an expression of lifestyle when I started this new garden in our new home in this subtropical climate. I’m sure I’ll need a reminder from time to time, I’m part human after all. But I trust that the reminder will show up when I need it because life is orchestrated through a series of synchronized events. When we allow it, life flows.
Why do you garden?
